Ever pull the PTO to start an autonomous Task, and notice 2 stripes in that you forgot to adjust the deck height? See that spring growth is thicker than you thought, and need to speed up the blades? Terrain bumpier than expected and want to reduce the ground speed? Now you can make those mid-Task adjustments right from your mobile app.
With the latest software update and the newest version of the Scythe mobile app, you can now make real-time adjustments right from the Scythe mobile app. No need to walk over or interrupt mowing to access the control panel. Just open the app, make your changes, and keep the job moving.
Same Machine, New Features
With continuous software updates, you get the benefit of new features and improvements, without changing out your equipment.
All M.52 operators can now access this new time-saving feature, as long as both their M.52 and the mobile app are up to date.
- Mobile app v3.02: If you already have the mobile app, make sure to check the app store for the most recent version, on both Apple iOS and Android
- Remember, for security, each operator must be granted user access to your Scythe account. You can add any new operators from your Scythe Fleet account.
- The most recent M.52 software - v48. Your Scythe account manager will notify you of the scheduled installation date to ensure your machine is powered on to receive the update automatically. If you are unsure if your M.52 is on the most recent version, scan the QR code on top of your M.52 to contact Scythe Support.
How It Works
We've designed the on app experience to be intuitive, and you can see how it works in the video below
To Adjust Settings From Mobile App
- Set your M.52 on a mowing Task in Scythe Mode using the machine control panel with your desired Task settings, as you normally would
- Open the Scythe mobile app, and navigate to the mower details of the unit.
- Map -> Mower List -> Mower Details
- Tap ‘Modify Mow Settings’ to open the settings adjustment window.
- Use the sliders and buttons to adjust the settings as you desire.
- The setting changes will appear under ‘Staged Changes’
- When ready, tap ‘Send settings to…’ to apply your updates.
Additional Details
- You must be close enough to see the machine to adjust the settings on an actively running Task. If you are too far away, the app will prompt you to move closer.
- Location sharing must be enabled within your app.
- This feature is only available when M.52 is in Scythe Mode and actively running a Task. It is not available in Park, Neutral, or Drive Modes.
- No need to pause the Task before changing the settings. You can adjust the settings while M.52 is mowing autonomously.
- The machine will not stop if the blade speed or ground speed is changed.
- If the change includes a cut height adjustment, the machine will temporarily self-pause and unpause the Task for the amount of time it takes for the machine to raise or lower the deck to the new setting.
- This will also trigger the audible ‘blades starting’
